Jeremy Loewen — Chef
Born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario, Jeremy Loewen has spent more than sixteen years refining his culinary skills. After attending Niagara Culinary Collage, he started his professional career at The Oban Inn in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, he apprenticed under some of the top chefs of the Niagara Region. Looking to further his knowledge, he traveled to Chewton Glen, a Michelin Star hotel in New Milton, England to study for six months. Upon returning, he became Sous Chef at the four diamond rated hotel, The Prince of Wales. There he was given the opportunity to head a team of 25, design the menu of the highly acclaimed Escabeche restaurant, and train apprentices at the beginning of their careers.
Having worked under some of Canada's best French, and Asian chefs, Jeremy was ready to take on a new challenge. A need to travel brought him to Vancouver, British Columbia. He is now enjoying running the kitchen at Fiddlehead Joe's Seaside Eatery, and applying his experiences as a chef to making a classic but unique bistro menu that features the wonderful local product that British Columbia has to offer. He hopes to refresh the local Vancouverites love for fresh, high quality, homemade food, set in the restaurant's beautiful waterside location.
